Scope
These terms apply to all users of steuvo.tax. By registering for an account, you accept these terms.
Service Description
Steuvo is a tax calculation and filing assistance tool for German income tax returns (Einkommensteuererklärung). Steuvo provides automated calculations based on user input.
Important: No Tax Advice
Steuvo is NOT a tax advisor (Steuerberater) within the meaning of § 2 StBerG. Steuvo does not provide individual tax advice. Tax calculations are estimates based on the data you enter. For complex tax situations, please consult a licensed Steuerberater.
Liability
Tax calculations are estimates based on user input. Steuvo does not guarantee the accuracy of calculations. Users are responsible for verifying their tax data before submission. Steuvo's liability is limited to the service fee paid. The limitations in §§ 7-10 DDG apply.
Beta Service
Steuvo is currently in beta. Features may change without notice. Service availability is not guaranteed during the beta phase.
Contract Duration and Termination
- Free tier: No fixed term, can be terminated at any time by deleting your account.
- Paid ELSTER submissions: One-time payment per submission.
- Account deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time (GDPR Art. 17).

Data processing is described in our Privacy Policy (Datenschutzerklärung)
Payment Terms
Payment is required before ELSTER submission. All prices include applicable taxes. Payment is processed securely via Stripe.
Right of withdrawal: 14 days (§ 355 BGB). The right of withdrawal expires once ELSTER submission has been initiated, as this constitutes delivery of digital content (§ 356 Abs. 4 BGB).
Tax Law Notice
Steuvo does NOT provide Steuerberatung (tax consulting) within the meaning of § 2 Abs. 1 StBerG. Tax advice is reserved for licensed professionals (Steuerberater, Rechtsanwälte, Wirtschaftsprüfer). Steuvo is a tool for self-filing (Selbstveranlagung). For complex cases, consult a Steuerberater.
Applicable Law
German law applies. Place of jurisdiction is Trier, Germany, to the extent legally permissible.
Severability
Should individual provisions of these terms be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance.
